In superfast Botniaring circuit Simo Muhonen was sixth fastest in qualifying and in two 12 laps races he was able to pass his fellow competitors so that for whole weekend he was fastest driver in his group cars. This was a perfect start for youngster who has already measured his skills also in international arenas.

- This weekend went pretty much like I planned and also hoped for and therefore third position after two races is an excellent start for the new season. It was also superb that in these fast-paced events I was able to pass my fellow competitors and therefore my self-confidence got a hellowa boost, Muhonen tells.

- As in my first-ever Porsche series events I was able to reach my goals it tells that how good the determinate work which I and my Relaa Racing Team have made during the winter and spring. We've now set standards for this season and in next two rounds, which are to be driven in middle of June, we head for new goals, younster continues.

Also Relaa Racing Team Manager and second driver Raim Niemi was very satisfied for this competitive weekend.

- Despite having a nasty flu I was able to keep up with the speed of my fellow competitors and even I'm a bit dissapointed for the second start seventh position I still feel very comfortable for forthcoming events, Niemi tells.

- Simo demonstrated his skills and why we had selected him as a Junior Program stipendiant. During the weekend he made exactly that job and results what we have expected from him and therefore I determinately believe that we have even better weekends still to come. Now for next four weeks we focus all effors to maintenance our cars for next rounds, Niemi continues.

In a FINRace series and its' Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland Relaa Racing Team drivers Simo Muhonen and Raimo Niemi collect medium points from a intense racing weekend which was driven in oldest still functioning and traditional circuit of Ahvenisto, Hämeenlinna. In third and fourth event of the series Niemi drove positions four and seven. Season 2014 Junior Program stipendant Simo Muhonen suffered a retirement in first race and drove a superb group victory in second race.

In qualifying Simo drove third and Raimo fifth fastest pace in 3040 meter circuit. In first race they were on their way to podium but a dramatic crash start forced them to renew the start. In re-start Simo suffered a misfortune as his fellow competitor crashed him so badly that he was forced to retire the event. In crashy race Raimo Niemi pushed pedal to medal and finished the 14 laps event in 4th position.

In a second race, which was driven a few hours later, Muhonen entered the event from 11th grid due first race retirement. However he had a good start and he picked a position by position until in 9th lap was able to pass his fellow team mate Raimo Niemi, who had started from 4th grid. After superb attack Muhonen finished the second race in 6th position and group 2 fastest driver. Niemi was 7th and collect 6th highest group 1 points.

- In motorsport the line between success and complete failure is very thin. In first race I was on third position but fortunately that start was renewed due crash. Then in restart my fellow competitor hit me and clicked me out from the circuit - Yes the dissapointment was very hard. However Relaa Racing mechanics made a superb job by repairing the car for the next race where I was able to push perfect result, Muhonen tells.

- I've always loved to drive in Ahvenisto circuit and therefore I was on very good speed. Fourth and sixth highest points gave lots of new self-confidence for me and as nearly all drivers, except Championship leader Jukka Honkavuori, had a dissapointing weekend the battle for dimmer medals got also new boost. Now on next week we maintenance our cars and then head to Estonian Pärnu circuit for fifth and sixth rounds, team manager Raimo Niemi continues.

After four events Muhonen is now on sixth and Niemi in eight positions. Championship leader Jukka Honkavuori has driven four victories and is now on 27 points leadership. Muhonen is 17 and Niemi 19 points from bronze medal position.

In fifth and sixth round of Porsche GT3 CUP Trophy Finland, which was driven in Estonian Pärnu Auto24ring circuit, a flying finn Junior Stipendant Simo Muhonen, age of 17, as well as his team mate Raimo Niemi experienced a thrilling drive for success. In 20 minutes and 13 laps race Muhonen collect his third season 2014 group victory and second race third position. Team manager Raimo Niemi was fourth and fifth fastest in overall classifications.

In qualifyings, which were driven in wet conditions, Relaa Racing Team drivers took third and fifth grid. These positions provided high hopes for forthcoming events but due small driving mistakes Niemi and Muhonen arrived to chequerred flag in fifth and sixth positions. Because Muhonen drives in different group than Niemi, he was rewarded maximum points and Niemi was forced to satisfy for fifth highest points.

In second race of the weekend Muhonen seriously tried to pass his fellow competitors. However a bit greedy driving line forced him to have a spin and due that mistake he dropped to 11th position. Still he was 3rd fastest in his group. In 13 laps of heavy racing Raimo Niemi made a impressive rise from eight position to fourth.

- This was pretty OK weekend for me when considering the starting positions - Before qualifying I only had 15 minutes of practice time for this new track an therefore group victory and third podium position was more than I could hoped for in this event. Unfortunately small driving mistakes reduced my speed and therefore I still have lot to improve. However we have to bear in mind that in intense racing anything can happen and this was the result when not having enough of patience. Still a rise in fourth position in overall standings provides me a good basis for next rounds, Muhonen tells.

- This was a well-balanced weekend for me and also for Relaa Racing team. Fifth position in first round and fourth position in second round keeps me smiling among the company of gentlemens and youngsters. Furthermore a superb racing against fellow team mate Simo Muhonen crowned the weekend. In Championship standings I'm currently in seventh position but still it doesn't tell the whole truth because after the final round two worst results are to be excluded from overall standings. Therefore both Relaa Racing Team drivers are in good positions, team manager Raimo Niemi tells.

Pärnu events were won by Jukka Honkavuori, who has won all previous rounds. Next two rounds of the series are to be driven in circuit of Alastaro at the second weekend of July.

In seventh and eight rounds of Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy, which were driven in circuit of Alastaro, the season 2014 Junior Program stipendant, young Simo Muhonen, age of 17, drove again two group victories and collected maximum group points. In overall classifications he was two times sixth fastest with his a bit old Porsche GT3 Cup car. Due superb performance he's now in series third position as there are still four rounds to go.

Relaa Racing Team manager and driver of newer Porsche GT3 Cup car, Raimo Niemi, continued smooth performance and was fifth fastest in overall classifications in both races. In both events Niemi and Muhonen tried to reach and pass Tom Nylund but this time weren't able to catch him.

Winner of both races was, once again, Jukka Honkavuori, who has won all eight rounds. He had a intensive drive against Emil Lindholm, who is a son of eight times Finnish Rally Champion Sebastian Lindholm. Despite Emil having a strong attack, Honkavuori was able to keep him behind.

As there are still four rounds to go in Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Series, Jukka Honkavuori has set a massive 60 points leadership. Muhonen is in thir position, just 10 points behind silver and Raimo Niemi is in eight position. HOX HOX! When all 12 rounds are driven, two worst positions are to be excluded from the standings and therefore Relaa Racing Team drivers are currently in excellent positions.

- In first start I was slowed down by a fellow competitor who had a very poor start. Therefore Nylund and Niemi were able to run away from me. Even this same pattern occured in second start I still was fastest of my group cars and these results provided me maximum group points and attachment to medal standings, Muhonen tells and promieses, - Due eight victories Jukka Honkavuori is almost the Champion. However I'm 10 points behind silver medalist and there are still four rounds to be driven. I'll catch and pass Tom Nylund.

- My fellow team mate Simo Muhonen and another great driver Tom Nylund gave a superb action weekend for me as in both races I tried to pass Tom and keep Simo behind. Even today Nylund was beyond passing I'm still very happy for two fifth positions and especially two bonus points for my top-5 finishes. Also as Simo was able to drive as we expected him to drive I'm very happy for our performance in a hot summer weekend. We're in good positions before entering season final rounds, team manager Raimo Niemi shared his thoughts.

In FINRace Racing Championship series and its' FINRace Trophy young and highly talented Junior Program and Relaa Racing Team driver Simo Muhonen is currently in second position and in Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy he's in third position before final rounds. Relaa Racing Team mate Raimo Niemi is in positions 3rd and 8th. Now in circuit of Kemora they've set their goals for podium positions.

In forthcoming weekend FINRace Championship series is having its' finale as 15 Porsche GT3 Cup drivers measure their skills in 9th and 10th round of Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy and 11th and 12th round of FINRace Trophy. In both series both Relaa Racing Team drivers are in excellent positions to drive for podium positions. Therefore stakes for the Kemora events are high; There are no effort to have a driving mistake and driving to Podium would give a permission to enter Finnish ASN trophy gala.

Relaa Racing Team prepared for Kemora Racing weekend in WRC Rally Finland by having a huge amount of PR-works as Simo Muhonen was presenting himself, his sponsors and Relaa Racing Team Porsche GT3 Cup car in best position in Rally Service park. After four intense PR-days Muhonen is expecting forthcoming events like a Children waits Santa Claus; 10 days ago Relaa Racing Team took two highest Podium positions in FINRace Vauhtiajot and therefore is in silver and bronze positions in FINRace Trophy. In fourth weekend of August Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland has its' finale and Muhonen has all possibilities to collect either silver or bronze medal. Furthermore team mate Raimo Niemi is also having a superb run towards top positions.

- Both Racing Championship events are currently in very livery situations. It can be now said that Jukka Honkavuori is going to win both of the series but Relaa Racing Team drivers are going to have a serious drive for silver and bronze positions. Now in Circuit of Kemora we're going to have an excellent chances for silver- and bronze medals and if we manage to collect Podium positions we also would improve our positions in Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland, Junior Program Stipendant Simo Muhonen tells.

- Due maximum points we collect in FINRace Vauhtiajot all members of Relaa Racing Team got lots of new boost for self-confidence and therefore we now go to Circuit of Kemora with high hopes and steady minds. And in WRC Finland our sponsors and partners got lots of Worldwide coverage as lots of people were very intrested about FINRace, Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland and Relaa Racing Team driver Simo Muhonen. We've made lots and lots of work for the success and therefore it would be very rewarding to reach our season goals, team manager Raimo Niemi continues.

FINRace Kemora starts in Friday with free practice. In Saturday from 9am the drivers measure their skills behind the steering wheel in qualifyings. First Porsche GT3 Cup round is to be driven at 1.20pm and second in 3.00pm.

In final round of FINRace series, which was driven in Circuit of Kemora, Junior Program Stipendant and Relaa Racing Team driver Simo Muhonen, age of 17, celebrated group victory and silver position which eventually lead him into silver position in FINRace Trophy series. Relaa Racing Team Manager and fellow competitor Raimo Niemi was eight in FINRace Trophy and lost bronze medal by 17 points.

In very rainy and demanding conditions the drivers faced extreme challenge which also provided big drama as Emil Lindholm and Anssi-Jukka Kasi had a big crash in first lap. Due the insident the first race was stopped and during the pause the circuit started to dry so much that tyre changes from wet to slick was the key for victory. Muhonen was one of the drivers who didn't make tyre changes and therefore in 9 laps he dropped into eight position in overall classifications. However he still was able to collect second highest group points. In a second start, which was driven two hours later, Muhonen pushed hard and finished the event in superb group victory. In overall classifications he was fifth. Team mate Raimo Niemi was seventh and sixth.

- The conditions were more than challenging as the weather kept changing from dry to wet and back to dry. In first start the circuit started to dry after we had made wet tyre choice. Then after Lindholm and Kasi had a big crash the circuit was completely dry and our wet tyres started to melt up. Therefore dry tyre drivers were able to push harder than me. Eight position and silver position wasn't the one I was hoping for, Muhonen tells.

- The final round of FINRace Trophy was driven in complitely wet conditions and during 11 laps of intense racing I was able to speed up from 10th position to 5th place. Due highest podium position and highest group points I was able to collect silver medal in FINRace Trophy series. Furthermore as in final rounds of Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy, which are to be driven in fourth weekend of August I'm going to have a chance to collect silver medal also in that series, Junior Program Driver Muhonen continues.

Team Manager Raimo Niemi shared thanks and congratulates his team stipendant driver.

- In start of this season we set our goals that we have to improve season 2013 results which were third and sixth position. During this intense 2014 season it has been a superb to see how well Simo adapted to our team methods and then drove the results we had expected of him. Silver medal in FINRace Trophy was the result we had set for him and in next three weeks he's going to have a possibility to collect silver medal also in Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland. It would be brilliant to thank him job well done, Niemi shared his thoughts.

- My eight position in FINRace Trophy was a bit dissapointment as the goals were set to sixth position in overall standings. Fortunately there are still chances to improve my position in Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy as final rounds are to be driven in familiar circuit of Alastaro, Niemi continued.

Champion of FINRace Trophy was Jukka Honkavuori who lead the series from the first start on. Honkavuori is also going to be the Champion of Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland.

Two final rounds of Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland were driven in circuit of Alastaro, southwest Finland. Flying Finn Simo Muhonen, age of 17, made, once again, superb job and drove victory in final start. In overall classifications he was 4th fastest. Because first race results were excluded due organizers technical difficulties, Muhonen rised from bronze position to silver. Relaa Racing team general manager and team mate Raimo Niemi was left to 9th position in final standings.

Previously in second weekend of August at final FINRace Trophy series Muhonen collect series silver medal. Now in penultimate round of the final weekend of Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland youngster drove against Scandinavian Carrera Cup top drivers and therefore his starting position was 9th because Carrera Cup drivers have more competitive tuning level in their series regulations.

First race was driven in rainy conditions and Muhonen tackled with wrong tyre choice and therefore he finished the event in 10th position in overall standings. In his group he was 3rd fastest. However this start was excluded due organizers technical difficulties and therefore no-one collect points from that start.

For the final start of the season Muhonen got underway from 4th grid and put all of his skills into usage so that faster Carrera Cup cars couldn't pass him. In season 2011 Muhonen had won Karting KF3 group bronze medal and in 2014 he collect podium positions in French Formula F4 Championship series. Now he gave an excellent show of his talent and was able to keep his fellow competitors behind. Excellent driving was rewarded with highest Championship points and three bonus points he collected from overall standings. Due this show Junior Program stipendant rised Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Finland silver medal and fullfilled his season goals.

- Final start of the season was definitely my best driving. Even I was 10 times on podium at 12 possible events and collect silver medal I'm still a bit dissapointed because I wasn't able to match for the speed of Championship winner Jukka Honkavuori. Still silver position is still maybe a bit more than I could ever wish before the season got uderway and therefore I have to be very happy for this result, Muhonen joyed.

- Big regands for this success belongs to my sponsors, partners, fans and specially to Relaa Racing team whose team members made perfect job. Ofcourse a special thanks goes to my parents and team mate Raimo Niemi who believed my speed and my determination to improve it, shared youngster who is eagerly waiting for his 18th Birthday.

Relaa Racing Team manager Raimo Niemi shared emotional feedback for season 2014 Junior Program stipendant Simo Muhonen.

- When in spring 2014 we choosed Simo Muhonen to be our Junior Program driver I immediately sensed that this fellow has a great talentfor intense racing. Even he's still lacking a driving licence and he has competed for 13 years in Finnish and specially in international arenas he always has been a true gentleman in circuit as well as in pits. Relaa Racing Team congratulates its' young driver for job well done and I'm personally very happy that Simo was able to reach his goals. Now for the all of my heart I hope Simo will have a bright future, Niemi shares his thoughts.
